ALCO Management, Inc. Named in Memphis Business Journal’s Top 100 Private Memphis-Area Companies

ALCO Management, Inc. has been named by Memphis Business Journal as a Top 100 company for 2020. Its recognition as the 78^th largest private company in Memphis comes amidst a year of incredible growth for the company.

This year ALCO CEO, Frank Jemison, retired and assumed the role of chairman of the board for the company. Jemison has been a leading voice at ALCO for fifty years and guided the company through the years with his industry-leading expertise in apartment finance and affordable housing communities. His successor, former vice president of development, Berkeley Burbank, has been with the company since 2006.

In 2020 ALCO has celebrated many new projects, acquisitions and new additions to its team. The company completed renovations to its offices at 35 Union Avenue in downtown Memphis — home to the business since its early days in the 1980s. “Our company wanted to have a working space for our employees that provided the same support and encouragement that we provide for our properties,” said Burbank. “We want a sustainable, open atmosphere and these renovations will provide that!” The offices now have river views accessible to all employees, exercise facilities and a wellness room.
