Deborah Bond Doesn’t Play When It Comes to Managing Her Property

  |     |   Team Spotlights

As a longtime community manager for Alco Management, Deborah Bond knows that maintaining a thriving residential community takes both structure and heart. Over the years, she has embraced a firm yet compassionate approach, ensuring residents understand the rules and take pride in where they live.

"They know not to mess around. They know the rules," Deborah explains. "This isn't just a place to stay. It's a home, and home is what you make it."

This philosophy has not only helped residents embrace accountability but has also fostered a culture of mutual respect within the community.

A Commitment to Longevity and Leadership

Deborah has been with Alco since the 1980s and has served as the community manager at Presidential West Apartments since the mid-90s. Throughout her tenure, she has weathered challenges, strengthened relationships, and watched her community evolve.

"I like challenges," she says.

One such challenge came years ago when a group of sisters approached her after one of them faced eviction for not following the community guidelines. Standing her ground in the face of opposition was difficult, but necessary.

"I was scared to death, but I had to hold my ground. Rules are rules," she recalls. "After that, I earned the respect of the residents and we built a stronger community because of it."

Today, Deborah takes great pride in the environment she has helped cultivate. She credits the residents for making Presidential West a place worth staying for decades, referring to them as family.

"I love to see the pride throughout our property," she says. "I’m excited to work for a company that truly cares about its residents."

Alco Management’s Mission in Action
