ALCO Management, Inc. recently welcomed 150 apartment homes and families. On Dec. 3, ALCO bought <\/span><\/span>The Crossing<\/span><\/a>, a mixed-income apartment community in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia with 123 affordable apartments and 27 market-rate apartments.  <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

ALCO’s acquisition of The Crossing, located about 10 miles south of Chattanooga, Tennessee, reaffirms its commitment to the Chattanooga metro area — marking the sixth property in the Chattanooga area that ALCO has bought and begun managing in the last five years alone. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Acquisitions and Development Analyst Thomas Robinson said one of the reasons ALCO chose The Crossing is its proximity to a key intersection in Fort Oglethorpe, giving residents easy access to many amenities. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

“Our mission is to provide quality, affordable housing for residents to call home — we want to create a good atmosphere for people to live in,” Robinson said. “We think The Crossing is a perfect place to do that, and we’re excited about being a part of that community.”<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

ALCO has a decades-long history of preserving and improving apartment communities, and it plans to do the same over time for The Crossing while maintaining its affordability. The Memphis-based affordable housing manager currently oversees more than 6,500 apartment units across nine states.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
