{"id":55,"date":"2014-02-14T18:57:00","date_gmt":"2014-02-14T18:57:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.alcomgt.com\/blog\/?p=55"},"modified":"2019-02-20T16:13:13","modified_gmt":"2019-02-20T16:13:13","slug":"alco-invests-8m-in-apartment-buys-rehabs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.alcomgt.com\/blog\/2014\/02\/14\/alco-invests-8m-in-apartment-buys-rehabs\/","title":{"rendered":"ALCO invests $8M in apartment buys, rehabs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Between acquisition and renovation costs, ALCO Management Inc. today announced plans to invest $8.15 million in three multifamily complexes in Tennessee and Kentucky.<\/p>\n<p>The Memphis-based real estate firm &ndash; which&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bizjournals.com\/memphis\/print-edition\/2011\/10\/07\/alco-thriving-on-renovations.html\">specializes in buying and rehabbing apartment properties<\/a>, as opposed to new development &ndash; has hired Tennessee-based GSB contractors Inc. as general contractor and Memphis-based MMH Hall Architects\/Planners Inc. as the architect.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#39;s more information on the properties ALCO purchased, together 145 units:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Maple Street Apartments<\/strong>, 555 Maple Street, Lebanon, Ky., a 56-unit affordable housing community where 20 units are set aside for elderly residents. The acquisition and renovation is valued at $2.35 million. Financial Federal Bank provided the first mortgage with secondary financing through the Kentucky Housing Corp. and a low-income housing tax credit investment from Regions Bank.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Brookfield Apartments<\/strong>, 430 Harrison Lane, Paris, Tenn., a 50-unit affordable housing community. The acquisition and renovation is valued at $3.1 million. Independent Bank provided the first mortgage and Regions Bank provided a low-income housing tax credit investment.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Hillcourt Apartments<\/strong>, 537 Hillcourt Circle, Huntingdon, Tenn., a 39-unit affordable housing community. The acquisition and renovation is valued at $2.7 million.
