ALCO Management, Inc. Employee Named SAHMA Manager of the Year

Terri Betts of ALCO Management has been awarded the Southeastern Affordable Housing Management Association (SAHMA) Manager of the Year Award.

SAHMA promotes a standard of excellence in the management of affordable multifamily housing. To that end, SAHMA offers several achievement awards to exceptional properties and professional personnel each year, as well as a poster contest for residents of affordable properties.

Terri Betts started her career as community manager at Catawba Pines in Newton, North Carolina in April 2000. She manages a privately-owned affordable property with 80 Section-8 Tax Credit apartments. The property was renovated in 2019. The high occupancy rate demonstrates the demand for this property in the Newton area. Terri regularly holds events for residents to “Build Community.” She is known for bringing a higher level of care and understanding to her community that truly makes her worthy of this recognition.
