As of January, the first Property Management Pathways program is halfway complete. The program, designed to prepare leaders in our company to grow within the property management department, centers on ALCO’s mission of creating quality and affordable housing for the long term.
The eight participants have focused on translating our mission and values into short- and long-term goals for themselves, their teams, and their communities, learning how to use specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-limited goals to ensure success.
Participants are in the process of meeting with each part of ALCO: Accounting, Acquisitions and Development, Asset Management, Compliance, HR, IT, Learning and Development and Property Management, to discuss each group’s role in ALCO’s success. To wrap up, the participants will learn about how property performance impacts ALCO’s overall financial health and growth, and how this commitment to growth in turn impacts ALCO’s communities and team members.
The first run of the Pathways program has been a great opportunity for the participants to learn about ALCO and develop in their careers, and as we plan to host the program again in 2022, we’re looking forward to building on our success and continuing to add to and improve our programming.
