Woodside Apartments hosted a children’s holiday event. The children of Woodside were invited to enjoy homemade, holiday cookies and juice while making tree decorations for the tree located in the office. In exchange for making these decorations for the office, each child was allowed to stuff a small stocking to take home as a gift for their parents. The children had a blast, and it was a good turnout for the event.
Woodside also hosted a holiday, open house dinner for all residents. Favorites like ham, meatballs and ziti were served buffet style. The residents enjoyed games such as holiday trivia and guess the stocking item. Stockings were passed around with holiday items, and the person who guessed the most, correctly, won a gingerbread house kit for their home. The Woodside team handed out candy canes to the children as they left the party. There were about 30 residents and their children who attended, and a great time was had by all! A special thank you to the Woodside team for preparing and hosting events, such as these, to help build community.
